We will see this impressive young woman March 8th at 5 p.m. local time in Red Bull Arena at the SheBelives game as she is the new SheBelieves Hero. Selected as such due to her wonderful sicktoitivness, example seting, and assiting people. Her prize is great, travel, seats and unique BTS time as the USWNT take on Spain.
Those involved in making such a selection were all ex-USWNT players, Nicole Barnhart, Cindy Parlow-Cone, Heather O'Reilly & Lindsay Tarpley Snow who narrowed the field to 5 including from Commack, Chastain Cassidy. The federation applauds all for their amazing efforts in creating change for the better in their local areas. The videos of the Final Five wer put out on the various social media platforms of US Soccer for all to vote on. They sought to find the one best identified as a force in their area, a self assured and motivated young woman that gets others going and pushes to better the world. Half the total went to the public and the ex players made up the other half of the final vote.
This contest was founded by US Soccer with the USWNT as the motivation. SheBelievs is intented to provide an impetus to girls & woman regardless of age to rech their ideas and wishes, on or off field.This tremendous concept was first put into play back in 2015 as the World Cup approached and now has morphed to a unique partnership of the players and followers with the strong ideal of trusting oneself and bringing that out to all areas of the nation,
