City Football Goup has a new team and Coach

From the Academy ranks at NYCFC to the Belgian First Division B, their 2nd  for Liam Manning. The Academy Dir. remains within CIty Football, he joined NYCFC in April of 2019 as DIr. of Coaching, then in late 2019 promoted to Academy Director. In both positions he lorded over the group that would take 2 U-19 titles in a row in the USSDA and had some of his staff brought up to the first team.

Manning informed "I joined NYCFC because it was a Club dedicated to growing their Academy and one filled with ambitious goals for their youth setup.  We solidified a foundation at the youth levels that provides a proven pathway for players, coaches and backrooom staff to progress to the First Team and this set the Club up for success for many years to come. The opportunity to grow to the next phase of my career at Lommel, was an opportunity that I couldn't pass up.''

Sporting DIr. David Lee added "Liam has been an instrumental part of our Academy's story throughout his tenure with NYCFC. From the day he joined us, he helped push out Academy forward in every area of the operation. We're sad to see Liam depart the club."

Ex first team player and U-15 HC Mehdi Ballouchy moved up to the first team staff with Ronny Deila as an asst. as did Jake Roswell Performance Coach and Asst. Athletic Trainer Sebastian Siclari move up to the big leagues. 

Lommel was acquired of late and are known for their strong Academy and youth development.

Manning had been with West Ham United of the EPL as HC of the U-23's , leading them to the PL Cup title.
