Fuentes scored the game-winning goal to help NYIT men’s soccer upset No. 1

LIU Post 2-1 Saturday afternoon. It was his first goal of the season. 

Defensive Player of the Week

Justin Corke, Molloy (So, GK, Valley Stream, N.Y.)

Corke had a career night last Wednesday, making 10 saves, as the Molloy College

men’s soccer team shut out Felician College, 1-0. The clean sheet was his first of 2012.

Rookie of the Week

Luigi Puello, Mercy (Fr, M/B, Fresh Meadows, N.Y.)

Puello played a solid left back for 180 minutes over the Mavericks’ two victories

this week. In the 2-0 win over UDC, Puello also added his first assist of the year.
