June 7, 2012-Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the only President to serve four terms. A short corner kick from his home in Hyde Park, Farmingdale United of the Long Island Junior Soccer League won their fourth consecutive State Open Cup championship in the rain and morning fog at Stringham Park in LaGrange on June 2.

Farmingdale shut out FC Sting 96 of the Westchester Youth Soccer League, 3-0, in the Girls-Under-15 final.

“We controlled the tempo of the game and our central midfielders––Nicola Venezia, Hope Quinones and Taylor Sipos––were outstanding,” commented Farmingdale coach Jamie Gonzalez.

Besides winning four State Open Cups, Farmingdale has played in the final five times. They will be representing the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) in the Regionals from June 28 to July 3 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
