Stony Brook GU 13 Soccer Coach Named Eastern New York Youth Soccer Coach of the Year

Miller Place resident Mark Nash, Head Coach of the Girls Under 13 Stony Brook Academy Team, was recently named Coach of the Year by the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA). The prestigious award was based on coaching philosophy, commitment to the game, player development and sportsmanship.

Nash is the Player Academy Director for Stony Brook Soccer Club and is also the Head Coach for GU14 Olympic Development Program. As the Head Coach of the GU13 program, he has won four division champion titles and has the distinction of being the only team to win the divisional title and top sportsmanship award in the same age group. Last Fall, his team was selected to participate in the Tri State Club Soccer League, a league that focuses on strong player development. In addition, they were just selected to participate in Region 1 of the Northeast Regional League. (Source: BHabyan)
