NEW YORK, N.Y. (July 10, 2023) – Singer, songwriter, producer Brian McKnight will sing the National Anthem as part of 2023 MLS All-Star Game pre-match festivities on Wednesday, July 19 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. before the best of MLS take on Arsenal FC.

“It’s always an honor to be asked to perform the National Anthem for our country. It’s especially an honor to be able to sing it in our Nation’s Capital,” McKnight said. “I'm looking forward to kicking off this highly anticipated match-up between MLS and Arsenal FC.”

Over the course of his impressive twenty five-year plus career, McKnight has sold over 30 million albums worldwide with multiple chart-topping hits and 16 Grammy Award nominations, solidifying his legacy in contemporary music history.

In 1992 McKnight released his self-titled and first album, which landed on the Billboard 200 chart. His video for “Anytime” was nominated for Best Male Video at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. McKnight has been the recipient of Soul Train Awards, American Music Awards and Billboard Songwriter of The Year. Outside the music world, McKnight also found success in the Broadway production of Chicago and as a red-carpet host for Extra! TV.
