FC Cincinnati is More than Putting their Money where their Mouth is

The big part of this is that they are imparting a quater of a million dollars, $250,000 to their FC Cincinnati Foundation to aid efforts realtive to racial issues. This action does of course have the full backing of Carl H. Linder, Meg Whitman, Scott Farmer, George Joseph as well as a good many other club partners. These funds are to assist local groups pushing to lend help and support to the Black community via: business/entrepreneurship, education, health care, jobs/job training and justice. This investment towards achieving a forward moving effect locally, is part and parcel of their talks with staff and players both seeking their feedback.

FCC Pres. Jeff Berding stated "Since our initial club statement opposing racism, we have been talking with and listening to our partners, players and staff about a stronger response that includes a plan of action. We are proud of the tremendous work of inclusion in our stadium constuction and by our FC Cincinnati Foundation and our ongoing efforts in the West End and with this new effort. FC CIncinnati is fully committed to addressing racial inequality and inequity in our comunity and beyond. Finally it has been recently brought to my attention that some of our players have endured personal and racial attack on social media. I am outraged by the vile sentiments directd to them. Appropiate action will be taken to ensure those with such sentiments are prohibited into our club."

The economic inclusion related to the West End Stadium project is beyond the hopes of team/community on monies with Minority, Women and Small Busniess Enterprises. Some efforts due to the pandemic have been reduced, but the Foundation will keep at it in having their impact in dealing with area groups felt through the balance of the year.

They are not done there, another $100K is headed to the West End as grants to groups supporting community building efforts. Yet again, a $15,000 contribution was made to a trio of West End schools to help with the meals for students and parents alike due to  the shut down of schools in March. Soccer will pick up again with numerous camps and both in and after school programs come the new semester. SAY soccer will be in with the West End Pride teams as the summer ends. The teams's Learning Is Cool returns for those achiving the A Honor Roll.
