NEW YORK AND MEXICO CITY (July 11, 2023) –  BODYARMOR Sports Drink and Leagues Cup today announced a partnership to become the Official Sports Drink partner of the inaugural tournament. Leagues Cup is the official North America Concacaf competition featuring every team from Major League Soccer (MLS) and LIGA MX.

In a new milestone in the history of North American soccer, Leagues Cup is a World-Cup style tournament in which all 47 MLS and LIGA MX clubs will pause their respective league seasons and compete in the official Concacaf competition each summer. The 2023 Leagues Cup will run July 21 to August 19.

As part of the agreement, BODYARMOR Sports Drink will hydrate Leagues Cup players on sidelines at matches and practices, in locker rooms and in training facilities. BODYARMOR’s logo and branding will also be featured on coolers, cups, squirt bottles, and towels throughout the duration of the tournament.

The new agreement further increases the visibility of BODYARMOR and builds upon its commitment and existing foundation within the larger soccer community. In 2019, BODYARMOR was announced as the Official Sports Drink of Major League Soccer.

Leagues Cup is part of the evolution of the successful partnership between MLS and LIGA MX that launched in 2018. The partnership is rooted in on-field rivalry but connected by a true spirit of collaboration off the field, with a focus on sharing best practices, growing the beautiful game in North America, and being a force for positive change in the communities of both leagues.
