Matteo Guendouz's penalty salvaged a point for Marseille in a 1-1 draw at home to Montpellier.
Arnaud Nordin fired the visitors in front after 12 minutes before Guendouzi kept his cool from the penalty spot, a minute before the interval.
"We didn't do enough to win," said Marseille boss Igor Tudor. "We were below our usual level with only one training session to prepare. I knew it was going to be difficult but I thought it would be enough. In the end, this was not the case. We worked in training to try to stop their counter-attacks but we conceded from one. Now, we have to forget about it and move onto the next game."
