Long Island Legend Re-Ups with NWSL Champs

Paul Riley is now tied to the North Carolina Courage for the next few years. This was a banner year as they achived 3 major things, the first Women's International Champions Cup, a 2nd in a row NWSL Shield and of coures the NWSL Title. Also tied down by the club is Bobby Hammond as VP of Operations and now also wears the hat of Asst. GM, club policy does not allow for more details or terms of these transactions. Pres. & GM Curt Johnson stated, "we are thrilled to have Paul continue to guide the team." Paul linked up with the team as they moved from Western NY as the Flash, and skippered them to the 2017 Shield with a 16 win season, in this just their 2nd in Carolina, they lost just 1 game in the NWSL and took the title with a 17-6-1 record. Coach stated, "Tremendous honor to be back at this club." This past year they set new records in  wins 17, points with 57 & goals netting 53 of them. All this and more led to Paul being tapped as the NWSL Coach of the Year for 2018, his 2nd year running.              Coach and friends during the recent USC Convention in Chicago.
