Tomorrow they begin being on field, Friday they are off to Calif. the WFC National Soccer Development Centre at UBC turf until Thurs., Fri, has them off to CA, returning Thur. Feb. 6. 

Jan. 20-24 Schedule:

20: Train from 10 a.m.

21: Train from 10 a.m., back late afternoon for a 2nd session.

22: Train from 10 a.m. 

23: Train from 10 a.m., back late afternoon for a 2nd season.

24: Travel day.

The opening of a pair of camps kicked off today as the team flew to Bradenton, they will play exhibition games at the IMG Academy until Feb. 1. NY starts with 30 players with 21 out of 24 rostered in camp, all missing are international players, a pair are with their respective NT's Cristian Casseres Jr and Aaron Long while Kemar Lawrence is dealing with family matters, he is expected in Florida on Jan. 27. Aaron is with the team at IMG, closed door scrimmage perhaps?, also at IIMG, while Casseres is with the U-23's of Venezuela and CONMEBOL Olympic Qualifying games.

Both teams have new coaches in MLS and the sides did close out a deal from back on Aug. 7, 2019 when they traded draft positions as Chicago got Michael Azira. Given the details of the transaction, should Montreal select a player with the #1 allocation spot, Chicago would then receive the money upon Montreal signing the player, well on Jan. 15, they signed their selection, Ballou Tabla. Chicago took the #6 spot in the trade as well

The world's largest coaches goup, United Soccer Coaches are in the midst of their annual convention, once again in Baltimore, today they came out with the  winners in their media contest.

HC Raphael Wicky has gone deeper into the alphabet than his last name, not an easy task, in tabbing David Zdrillic for his staff. 

Wicky informed "David has a wealth of experience as both a player and a coach and we're delighted to have him join the Fire. He's played at a high level, he can relate to the players and he will bring a winning mentality to this club."
