The Red Bulls out shot and had more shots on target than did the Rapids, yet Colorado walked away with the shutout win. With over a dozen good looks on goal, none of which went in both goals, the first more so than the 2nd was against the run of play. Many of the first half tries were wide right of Tim Howard, the ex Red Bull on his last go 'round in the league. Jonathan Lewis had both goals, showing his value as the visitors did pay NYCFC a good deal of money for him, what was better his first goal or his slide? Images coming soon.

The win facing the Vancouvver Whitecaps propelled them into the playoffs yet again, for a 4th straight year and the earliest time to date, with a total of 7 games, 4 at home remaining, they are able to better their position. HC Torrent is on record that he will continue to play his best 11 each and every game from here out, possibly to help improve their chances at more games in the now single elimination playoff games at home.

Back to back national championships, numerous first round draft picks, national team players, later winners of the Player of the Year in the NCAA, Ulster has a huge weekend of events scheduled for Sept. 6 & 7. The UCC Soccer Alumni with the school has a number of local socccer events to pay homage to the long history of success on and off the pitch. The goal of this weekend is to honor George Vizvary, the Hall of Fame coach and his 2 national champions of 1977 & '78. Coach Viz is truly a legend  of the game.

NYRB go on the road or rail or uber or however they will go to the away game at Yankee Stadium with their 41 points to take on the 44 point NYCFC at home, hoping to knot them up with a win. The game will be on ESPN2 and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn. This is already the 14th match up with these to locals. NRYB are on a winless streak at The Stadium, 0-3-1, with 3 of those one goal games. Red Bulls seek to take their 4th series after their 2-1 win at RBA. Red Bulls a 6-7-0 in the 13 one goal games on the year, 2-3-0 on the road, winning 2 of their last 3 by that measure.

The first half and some later images out of their record setting game in Red Bull Arena, a tie with the Reign are up on our Facebook and now on a 2 game streak without a loss as earlier they downed the Red Stars 2-1 they look to defeat the expected Southern Inhospitality in Houston. Yahoo Sports and NWSL.com will have the game. Sky Blue are the clear underdog with their 13 points leaving them a trio of teams behind the Dash. It has been a very even series at 6-6-3, a win will give them 3 games without a loss, a feat not achived since 2017.
