From New York Red Bulls:

New York Red Bulls Head Coach Troy Lesesne

On tonight’s match…

I can only say that New England when they go down a man, I don't think that we respond well enough at that point. I think we started the second half extremely well. We scored two goals in the second half. So I can't say that second half performances are poor.I would say that today wasn't good enough in the second half. I thought we started it well again but maybe a little bit of it is fatigue potentially. We're thin right now. I think we all understand that. But credit to Cincinnati as well. Have to give them credit and credit to New England the other night. For the game, they are down a goal, and they do that. We don't adjust as well as they adjust. I just told the team, I take the first layer of responsibility and accountability for that, not to absolve them from any of their responsibility, but I look at myself first. So we need to correct that going into Salt Lake.

On Hassan Ndam…

Yeah, I thought Hassan, until he got fatigued, he thought he had a very good night, I really did. I think he's grown in incredible ways. Development over the course of this year is so impressive. I think he's up to close to double-digit starts now in the year, and that's a guy that he's with the club a long time ago and made a couple moves and had to work his way back into a first-team situation.I'm really proud of him. I'm really proud of the minutes that he played tonight, and now he's going to get a little bit fitter and hopefully be able to go 90 minutes.

New York Red Bulls Midfielder Omir Fernandez

On creating chances…

They have a good defense. They have good players in the backline, but I think in the first half we had really good moments. So what we'll take from this is we have to kill that team off when it's one zero. And when we're in a good moment, I think those are the takeaways we'll take away from that.

On the changes between halves…

I think we let them get a little bit too comfortable. You know, they make a few changes. We made a few changes. But you know, I think overall we just let them get a little bit more comfortable and like I said they have they have quality players that if you let them get comfortable in the game though they'll punish you.

On the communication…

I think we're getting a lot better. Obviously it can always get better but you know, I see a lot more communication led from the players and less from Troy and I think that's really important with progressing the team and taking more success.

New York Red Bulls Defender Hassan Ndam

On the game tonight…

It was a good game for us but unfortunately we lost. The gaffer said we had a good performance in the first half but the second half we're not connected enough so it was unfortunately we lost but we're going to be taking some good from it and learning.

On what Cincinnati did differently in the second half…

I think they brought up Moreno to kind of solidify the midfield that was kind of the issue for us maybe say that they were trying to play a more direct behind us but I didn't go the kind of play behind those couple of time but we handled them put in motion a good way. The second half was not too much of a tactics for them.

On if his approach changed after the yellow card early…

Yeah, of course it changed but I was very confident with myself that you know, the yellow card won't stop me because I'm not that such a nasty player like that. So I felt like I could finish the game in a proper way and I did pretty well.
