RBNY take on ATL UTD

By Sean McCaffery, July 10, 2020

Group E starts up with a keynote matchup of the MIB, Atlanta United and New York Red Bulls, although NY has the upper hand thus far at 5-1-2, when it counted they did not deliver, losing in the playoffs to the team that went to take the MLS crown. Such a game, like the past 6 meetings must be before a national audience at 8 p.m. ET Sat. eve on FOX, following in their group at 10:30 on FS1 are Columbus & Cincinnati, all from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. These 2 Eastern Conference powerhouses have not met in just over year, a 3-3 tie in the ATL July 7, 2019.

There are a number Red Bulls gone since they last met most notably BWP & Luis Robles, the curse of the captain. Danny Royer has had great success notching 4 goals and a pair of assists over 6 games, as Ryan Meara had a great game facing them in a 3-1 win with half a dozen saves. Already with 4 different goal getters, just as last year when they tied a league and set a team record of 18 that is a great harbinger for the game.

Next up the Crew on the 16th at 10:30 p.m. ET on FS1, Fox Deportes  & Red Bulls Radio.
