The team traded up to get him, now they have him all signed up for the coming and future seasons. The defender out of Marquette was taken as the 10th choice overall.

Sporting Director Denis Hamlett informed "We knew we liked Patrick when we traded up in the draft to get him. Patrick has done very well in preseason camp and earned this opportunity. We're excited about the competition at outside back and know Patrick will continue to work to improve his game, day in and day out."

A player all 4 years at the school, his time as a Golden Eagle was closed out with a team high 7 assists. Born and raised in Streamwood IL, he was an All-Big East selection in 2018 & '19. With 65 games, starting 63 he totalled 6 goals and 16 assists for his college career.

For his part, Patrick added "It has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid. To have the belief and support from friends and family all these years has been huge. I can't express how happy I am to be joining a club that believes in me and to be a part of a team that is all about family and togetherness."

Prior to his college ball, he had a trio of years with the Socker FC Academy. He wore the captains armband for a two of those seasons and was a USYNT call up in 2012 & '15. Ranked as the 15th best defender in the Midwest when he came out of HS.
