After a year in the desert with Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar then with the Revs, the prodigal forward has returned for the princely sum of $250K in TAM, $100k in GAM + a 2020 natural first round pick as he occupies an international roster spot.  Now 29, in his first turn with SKC, he hit for 16 goals and 7 assists in just 33 games for the 2015 season. SKC HC Peter Vermes had this to say, "We are excitied to welcome him back to Sporting KC, and his familiarity with our system will help him acclimate as we continue to push for playoff positioning."  2015 saw him getting the nod as the newcomer of the year for KC and their first MLS Goal of the Year winner as he struck v the TImbers on Oct. 3, he also garnered Player of the Month in May.

He played a key role in the 2015 Lamar U.S. Open Cup title run as he tied for tops in goals, getting 5, scoring in every game from the Sweet 16 forward, even the equalizer leading to the pk win v Philly for the title.
