NEW YORK NEW YORK (July 6, 2023) – Leagues Cup launched today the Leagues Cup Bracket Challenge presented by Coors Light. Fans of both MLS and LIGA MX clubs will get the chance to predict the round-by-round winners of the brand-new tournament, ultimately selecting the winner of the competition.
The challenge is free to play and will allow competitors in the United States and Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) to play for a grand prize of $10,000, with other top finishers receiving other cash prizes. Additionally, there will be a second chance bracket after Leagues Cup Group Play concludes that will allow participants to make a second set of selections and compete for more great prizes.
Fans of MLS and LIGA MX clubs must make their picks before the Leagues Cup Group Stage of the tournament begins on July 21. All Leagues Cup matches will be available to watch on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app and tv.apple.com in more than 100 countries and regions.
Points for correct picks will increase every round . For a specific scoring breakdown, see below:
- Group Stage – 30 points for picking the correct group winner or second place finisher, 20 points for correctly picking a club to advance but in the wrong position
- Round of 32 – 10 points for correct selection
- Round of 16 – 30 points for correct selection
- Quarterfinals – 75 points for correct selection
- Semifinals – 175 points for correct selection
- Final – 250 points for correct selection
- Third Place Game - 150 points for a correct selection

Leagues Cup represents a monumental new chapter for North American soccer. Beginning in 2023, Major League Soccer and LIGA MX will pause their seasons each summer and all 47 first division professional soccer clubs in the U.S., Mexico and Canada will compete in a World Cup-style tournament, which will qualify the top three finishers to the Concacaf Champions Cup.
