Tom Mulroy into the first class of the Rockland Hall of Fame

Tom Mulroy, Soccer Tom is amongst the inital inductees for the Rockland Sports Hall of Fame. HIs playing career crossed continents and covered both indoor and outdoor soccer. From marking the great Pele and givng up a bicycle kick goal that plays on endless loop at the Pele museum in Santos Brazil to setting the Guiness World Record for juggling a soccer ball atop the Empire State Building, there is not much he has not done in the sport. His strong Long Island ties include stints with the NY Arrows and NY Express, running the Shep Messing indoor soccer and sports facility in Syosset and the numerous soccer clinics done on the island, cemented him here as a soccer icon. Jan. 13 at 6PM at 190 S. Main St New CIty will be the first event with another to follow Feb. 21-23 in the Doubletree Hotel Ramsey NJ.
