Unstoppable U-20's

They scored early, just 9' in and often in the opening game of the Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship during their 9-0 win over a hapess Cuba team.  Next gen. athletes were front and center with Trinity Rodman daughter to Basketball's Dennis dishing out a trio of assists, a pair to Brianna Pinto, her father a stellar soccer player out of Brentwood and the 2019 US Soccer Young Female Player of the Year. Mia Fishel tied a record with a quartet of goals equalling the mark of Kelly WIlson, Lindsay Tarpley, & Heather O'Reilly in the U-19's World Cup Qualifiers as did Kia McNeil in these same games, another at the U-20 level bagged 4, in a friendly that being Civana Kuhlmann. Such balance today as 5 scored, a pair multiple times, that must make HC Laura Harvey happy as she gets her first win with this team. Experience no doubt played a role is this dominant showing with 10 players already having  played in a Youth World Cup, all vying for one of but two passages out of this tourney to the World Cup. Even the subs got in on the scoring as Summer Yates & Samantha Meza both found the net.

Monday at 3p.m. ET brings up the Dominican Republic, hosts of the games, then Wed, 6p.m. ET Honduras will take on the US.
