USA Learns their Group for 2021 Gold Cup

The USMNT will begin to qualify for the World Cup next year as well as compete in this big tourney for their Region, dates for the Qualifiers and Gold Cup are still very much up in the air. Next year, possibly due to failing to make the last World Cup will carry with it much promise with players just signed to Chelsea, Juventus and others, the young guns of the USMNT carry a great deal of hope. Drawn into Group B with Canada, Matinque and the Prelim. Winner #7 the US expects to get through to the next round without much difficulty. These young players are doing well with their club teams but are still more or less untested at the senior level of international play. June gets them their first taste of it for 2021 with Nations League play.  See the chart below for the rest of the groups.

Kwik Kixx:
-In Gold Cup play, the US & Canada have faced off 4x, the US leads the series 3-1.

-US & Canada last met up in 2011 as the US took a 2-0 shutout in Detroit June 7.

-Canada took the title in 2000 and also have some up and coming players with Alphonso Davies now with Bayerrn Munich who took the 2019-'20 UEFA Champions League. WIth Davies is 2019 Gold Cup Golden Boot winner, Jonathan David.

-Making a 3rd straight visit to the Gold Cup is Martinique, their 7th overall following a great #2 spot in Group A of the Concacaf Nations League.
