Every Tues., yes even during this abbreviated and with far fewer teams playing season, a Men's & Women's Player of the Week is to be chosen. This week, both are Goalkeepers, and both underclassmen.
Jr. Alec is from North Carolina, his Tar Heels got going in great style with his 9th blank sheet and 8th in his last 19 starts with a 2-0 win over Duke.
VA Tech. frosh, Alia Skinner also a 2-0 shutout for her first win at the collegiate level as her team defeated Pitt. ranked #14. She did earn it with 12 saves, 7 in the first half, tops in a game in program history during an ACC game and #3 all time over 23 seasons of Hokie WOSO.
