We are gearing up for an exciting summer! The Men's and Women's Para team are kicking things off in May at the IFCPF World Cup in Spain. Then the U.S. Men’s National Team opens June with two friendlies and two Concacaf Nations League matches and the U.S. Women’s National Team will close out June with two friendlies before heading to Monterrey, Mexico in July for the Concacaf W Championship. All this, plus our Youth National Teams are back in action and there is a new Insiders perk, check it all out below!

World Cup Hype and What the Team is doing to prepare

Now that the U.S. Men’s National Team has qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the team will kick off its preparation for the world’s biggest stage against Morocco on June 1 at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, before USA-Uruguay, presented by Allstate on June 5 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan.. The USMNT will then play its final home match prior to the World Cup as it begins its Concacaf Nations League title defense against Grenada on June 10 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. The team will close out the summer international window with a visit to El Salvador in its second Nations League group stage match on June 14. With the youngest team to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the time is now to get behind the USMNT. From the Mountains to Monterrey! USWNT Set for World Cup Qualifying

While the World Cup in Qatar will be here before we know it, the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand is also fast approaching! The U.S. Women’s National Team will look to secure its spot Down Under when the Concacaf W Championship kicks off on July 4 in Monterrey, Mexico. This tournament serves as qualification for the 2023 World Cup and, new this year (!), the tournament winner will also qualify directly for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The USA will face Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico in the group stage, with the top two teams from each group punching their tickets to the World Cup.Before making way to Mexico, the USWNT will play two matches against Colombia as its final tune-up for qualifying. Tomorrow’s Stars Set Sights on Youth World Cups

After a long lay-off from official international competition, the U.S. Youth National Team program is back in full force! Both the Under-20 and Under-17 Women’s Youth National Teams have competed in their respective Concacaf Women’s Championships this spring.

In March, the U-20 WYNT won a record seventh Concacaf Women’s U-20 title after a dominant showing in the Dominican Republic. The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is set for August in Costa Rica, where the USA will look for a record fourth championship.

In addition, the U.S. U-17 Women’s Youth National Team also won their record fifth Concacaf U-17 Women’s Title on May 8. With its World Cup berth secured, the U-17 WYNT and head coach Natalia Astrain, who led her first tournament at the helm of the USA, will now shift focus to preparations for October’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.

The U-20 Men’s Youth National Team will also enter the World Cup qualifying gauntlet this summer. Carrying a talented pool of players with pro experience, head coach Mikey Varas will lead the USA at the Concacaf U-20 Championship during June/July in Honduras.

Extended National Teams in Action Around the World

Launched in 2019, the U.S. Beach Women’s National Team won its first-ever trophy in April, topping the table at the El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup, its fourth-ever international competition. Forward Lauren Leslie led the team with four goals and was named tournament MVP.

After an extended halt in programming due to COVID-19, the Para National Teams returned to the pitch in January and will compete in the IFCPF Men’s and Women’s World Cups this month in Salou, Spain. The Para WNT kicked off play in January and is a part of the first-ever Para Soccer world championship for women. Coming off its first-ever Para PanAmerican Games medal in August 2019, the Para MNT will look to build on its sixth-place finish at the 2019 World Cup, one of the best performances in program history.
