Red Bull New York Head Coach Michael Bradley
On the defensive effort…
Yeah, I would say that it was a really strong response in terms of intensity, in terms of competitiveness, and in terms of commitment. We spent a lot of time this week talking about some of those things, the basic things, but ultimately the foundation for any good team and so tonight, I could not be more proud of the players. The way that they stepped on the field, this is never an easy place to come. Seattle, their history that they have here, the atmosphere, obviously the turf is a unique challenge when you do not play on it every week. This was a real team effort and a really big step for us in the growth and maturity of this team.
On Ethan Horvath…
Yeah, look to start with, Ethan had a really good game and so we are really happy for him. He has had a bunch of nights this year, where he has been really key for us, and when you come here and you play against a team like Seattle in this environment, you know you are going to need some big plays from your goalkeeper and so Ethan was there for us when we needed him.
On David Ruiz and Devin Padelford debuts tonight…
Yeah, it is a credit to them. It is a credit to their mentalities. It is a credit to coming into a new team and a new club and being ready and open to throw yourself into it, and so David [Ruiz] had three training sessions with us. Devin had one, and so that is not a lot of time for either, but they have both, in a short amount of time showed their personality. They have showed how excited they are to be here. They have fit in, in really good ways on the field and off the field and we are excited to have them both.

On the match…
No, it was good on a personal level. Obviously, very happy with the performance tonight in the clean sheet, and then on the team level, you know, was a fantastic performance as a group and as a team. We defended well today. We were strong on set pieces. So from personal level, team level, yes, of course we want to win the games. But I think on a on a collective level, we can be very happy with tonight's performance.
On team earning clean sheet…
I think it was very important. You know, there's been a handful of games where we conceded late goals this year, so I think it was really important as a team that we got the clean sheet. Of course, we had opportunities to win the game, and that's the next level to when we get those chances that we can finish them, so we can leave Seattle with 1-0, 2-0 win, but you know was my first time coming to Seattle on a club level, and you know like everyone says it's a tough place to come with the field, the team is good, the atmosphere and whatnot. So I think on the positive we can be as a group. Be positive and leave Seattle on a good start to the away trip.
On bouncing back from last performance…
After Philadelphia, we had a couple days off, and then when we were back in, we had a one and a half hour meet team meeting, and it was one of those team meetings where it was like a proper team meeting where we all looked at each other, looked at each other in the mirror. Which I think was important, and then we come out today, and like I said, like we would love to be leaving Seattle with three points, but I think today we started, you know, I think coming away 0-0 away in Seattle is a good result and a good start to this away trip, and like you said yourself, I think it starts us off on a positive note going to LA now.
