After an exhaustive multi national quest, the MLS team in Vancouver has secured their CEO, Mark Pannes, he will lord over all business sides of the team and answer straight to the owner.

Team co-owner & exec. chair, Jeff Mallett informed "Today we are very pleased to add a skilled and experienced new member to our executive leadership team. Together, Mark & Axel will lead the club to achive its goals on and off the pitch."

The new look, new coach, new again home stadium Chicago Fire now have a new DIr. of Performance in Ben Donachie from AFC Bournemouth of the English Premier League where he had been for 8 years as the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach. During his time there he was in charge of the strength development and rehabilitation for both the first team and academy players. Over his years with Bournemouth, they were promoted twice over in three seasons, 2013 had them into the Football League Championship a return there for the first time since 1990.

Last year, they entered the annals of NYRB II, now midfielders Jared Stroud & Chris Lema, both New Jerseyites are on the first team.

Sporting Director Denis Hamlett informed "On behalf of everyone at the club I'd like to welcome Jared and Chris to the first team, Over the last several seasons we have established a strong pathway for talented players to move up and contribute at the MLS level. We are proud to have helped Jared and Chris take this next step in their career"

Players are due to report for the 23rd season of one of the original MLS clubs as they fire it up for the season. Jan. 20-24 will have them heating it up locally at CIBC Fire Pitch Field, the 26th they are they off to Tampa for a 12 day training camp complete with a pair of games.

First foe for the Fire will be the Union on Feb. 1 from Joe Dimaggio Sports Complex , Clearwater FL. Feb 6 they take on a team TBD at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay.

The last hopes to be the best as NYCFC has named the final HC for all of MLS 2020 as ex Valerenga of Norway's highest level of soccer has signed on with a three year deal. As a coach he has found great successes, coaching in the UEFA Champions League qualifieres and UEFA Europa League alike. As a player, Ronny was a defender and had headed Stromsgodset in his native land from 2008-'14, during which time they took their first championship in 43 years in 2013. Then he was back to Scotland for world renowned Celtic from 2014-'16 with a 2 Scottish Premiership rings in a row.
